Presidential hopeful, Yul Edochie has given hints of a troubled marriage with his first wife, May which resulted in his decision to take a second wife.
Exactly a week ago, the actor announced that he got married to a second wife and already has a son by her.
The development sparked a tumultuous backlash from his fans with his second wife, Judy Austin taking much of the hit.
Fans brought up posts where Edochie had praised May for staying with him when he had nothing and nobody knew or minded him.
His father, elder statesman and veteran actor, Pete Edochie had also cautioned young men of the woes that come with polygamy and the fact that the pain transcends generations.
The respected Igbo grandfather has also publicly denounced his son’s marriage to Judy and banished her from his household.
The video interview released on Wednesday however, points to the fact that Yul was having a troubled marriage with his first wife, a development that led him to seek and marry the second wife.
He explained that there is a reason for everything and people were simply angry over issues they know nothing about the root cause.
The politician went ahead to say that he would never say anything to make May look bad in public maintaining that he would rather take all the heat than bring his private life to the open.
Yul Edochie added that some of his fans even suggested he hold a press confrence but he was not going to do so.
