‘They Want to Take Us Backwards ! Vote for the Youths !’ – Jonathan Addresses Youths

Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Jonathan has held a rally where he vehemently addressed the youths to avoid politicians who “want to take us backwards.”

He called on the youths to vote for the future and not for old people like him who are spent and tired.

It’s not yet clear when Jonathan held the rally but he obviously spoke to the conciense of everyone present whom he urged to avoid politics of acrimony.

He added that everyone must vote for the Nigerian youths to be relevant in Nigerian political history or they vote to make them irrelevant.

They must avoid those who could not fight corruption because it has eaten deep into the fabrics of the country.

He noted that “they want to take us to the old days when nobody sees voters’ cards but results were announced.”

The former president insisted that Nigeria must move forward as he feels pained to see countries like Malaysia, India, Brazil, Indonesia that were on the same level as Nigeria when he was in secondary school, but have moved many years ahead.

Jonathan called on the youths to redefine the country and take it to where they want it to be.
