A lavish display of affluence was witnessed during the naming ceremony of the grandson of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

The naming ceremony of baby Zayyad took place in Istanbul, Turkey and was attended by family members and wealthy dignitaries from different nationalities.

The lavish ceremony held with all the trappings of affluence and extravagance regardless of the economic situation in Nigeria with many citizens groaning with hunger, food scarcity and biting inflation.

The naming ceremony was so elaborate that it has been likened to a naming ceremony.

Hanan Buhari, a graduate of digital photography and Mohammed Turadu tied the knot back in September 2020 and welcomed their son in March 2022

Hanan’s husband is the son of a former lawmaker, Mahmud Sani Sha’aban, who was a member of the House of Representatives and a friend of President Buhari.

Their wedding ceremony was historic as it was the first-ever wedding ceremony held inside the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
