Rights activist and co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls movement, Aisha Yesufu has warned that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi is being set by the opposition.
Yesufu stated this in a post on her Twitter account.
She noted that some people are planning the same thugs that were used to attack #EndSars protesters.
According her, the people who would destroy towns would be given t-shirts with Obi’s picture, while they claim they are his supporters.
Yesufu added that the plan is to the turn people against him ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
She noted that the same tactics was employed to destroy the agenda of #EndSars which attracted youths across the country.
Yesufu tweeted, “What he doesn’t get is that he is being set up! They will carry the same thugs they used to attack #EndSars protesters and destroy towns give them T-shirts with his picture and say they are his supporters.
“They will then be turning people against him. They did that with #EndSars.”
Obi will, in the 2023 presidential election, battle candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu in 2023.
