Osun Election: Akara Being Shared at Entrance of Aregbesola’s Country Home

Akara (bean cake) is reportedly being shared at the entrance home of the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

Many voters had generous servings of the popular snack in spite of the fact that the Minister was not home.

A former Governor of the state, Aregbesola is expected to cast his vote in Ilesa East, Ward 8, Polling Unit 1 but he has jetted out of the country.

TheCable reports that residents around the country home of Aregbesola in the Ifofin area of Ilesha who apparently had not had decent meals for a long time were only glad to have the generous rations.

A resident said they are yet to see the minister whom they said usually arrived in his hometown on election eve

“By now, everywhere will be bubbling with activities, because Aregbe would have entered since Friday.”

On her part, a media aide to Aregbesola, Jane Osuji disclosed that the former Governor is currently not in the country.

Osuji further stated that the Minister of Interior is in Germany representing Nigeria at a programme.

Some of his aides who spoke on the minister’s availability, however, said he would vote before voting ended.

In another development, a Nigerian lamented how low people are rated by the APC as he displayed a sachet of casava grains given to him by the party.

He regretted how he would survive on it for the entire tenure of the governor.
