Nigerians as expected, have started a Twitter Challenge to mock the outfit of the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima, at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual conference held in Lagos.
The NBA annual conference which held yesterday at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos saw the politician dressed in what many considered the most ridiculous outfit to a gathering of lawyers.
Shettima, like other top politicians and company heads, was present at the event to represent the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Many observers, including from a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, were taken aback by his mode of dressing.
Shettima appeared at the event wearing a pair of gym shoes with all his jacket buttons securely in place and his red tie sticking out from between the flaps of the jacket.
Nigerians youths, mostly the men have created a twitter trend called #ShettimaChallenge with images of several of them donning various sizes of suits with a red tie, and pairs of gym shoes.

One of image makers of the APC presidential candidates, Festus Keyamo decided to double down on the trend by also posing in a similar outfit.

Don_Lagbaja on his part, believes that the dress style was to make Shettima trend on social media.
According to him, “Get the strategy, shettima’s outfit was a rouse to trend his pragmatic speech and amongst other reasons. You people have a lot to learn.”
