Kogi State House of Assembly was early this Monday morning, October 10, gutted by fire.
The cause of the fire incident is still unknown by the time of this report but the entire structure is completely razed.
Videos posted by eyewitnesses who that the entire inner gallery and inner chambers were consumed by the inferno which broke out at about 8:00am.

The Speaker of the House, Prince Mathew Kolawole, while speaking to journalists at the assembly complex said the house will allow security agencies to investigate the incident.
He, however, said this would not stop the legislators from performing their duties as the resolution of the house concerning Dangote Cement Plc stands.
Kogi Indigenes are already pointing fingers on possible reasons the fire broke out.
According to @Abdul_A_Bello: “Last week Kogi State House of Assembly ordered and close down Dangote Cement PLC Obajana Kogi State. Today fire guts Kogi State house of Assembly complex completely. You can all connect the dots. Dangote group really aiming to fight dirty.”
@SorgiBandit: “Reports coming from Kogi state indicates that the state house of Assembly complex was razed by fire over night. I hope this has no connection to the issue with Dangote factory.“
