A high-end hospital located in the Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos, Doren Specialist Hospital has come under attack following the death of Ex-BBnaija star, Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey.
The death of Rico Swavey was announced on Thursday by his colleagues, Tobi Bakre and Alex Asogwa, after a ghastly motor accident that left him on life support.
In a new development later on Thursday, a video surfaced on social media showing the unprofessional handling of a case that should arguably be treated as an emergency.
A video, allegedly filmed by a nurse in Doren Specialist Hospital, showed an unconscious Rico Swavey carelessly propped up on a chair with an oxygen mask.
Curiously, the nurses appeared not to know how to handle his case as they also appeared confused.
Some of the nurses laughed away as they engaged each other in casual discussions while some of them video-recorded the dying patient.
Doren Specialist Hospital, located at 1 Osa Paul Street, Thomas Housing Estate, Ajah, Lagos, has been under fire from Twitter users, who shared their own ugly experiences.

Uti Nwachukwu @SirUTI: “The name of the hospital and the name of the hospital staff that recorded and laughed at RICO as he fought for his life, Should be published for Public knowledge. If necessary actions are not taken, the hospital should be SHUT DOWN WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!!!!”
Another ex-BBnaija housemate, Angel Smith: “Gonna speak on this because when I was unconscious at home, my friend rushed me here and let me tell y’all something, it was terrible. Nobody should be going to Doren in Ajah.”
Frank Edoho: “Those idiotic medical personnel that were filming and laughing while Rico laid there dying should be banned from medical work and possibly arrested. Why would we expect decent healthcare in Nigeria when our leaders always scurry abroad to get state-of-the-art medical attention?”
Another tweep, Richy Brann @Momohrichard12:, “Awoo Doren hospital again God where are you? This is a story I can’t tell about my late father for this same hospital.”
However, a tweep noted that the video circulating is indeed Doren Specialist hospital, where he was initially rushed to before he was moved to Evercare hospital, where he gave up the ghost.
