Nigerian ladies living in the US have protested their non-inclusion in the Ooni of Ife’s choice of wives.
They lamented that the monarch has completely ignored them and focused on that were either born in the UK, trained or own businesses there.
Posting on behalf of the aggrieved women, Rasheed Rasheed Senior said: “Somebody close to the palace should help us beg Ooni to consider us in the US too for equitable representation. Many of his wives are either UK born or UK-trained or UK business owner. UK this and UK that. Shey our U.S girls are not marriageable ni? Baba e joor oh, consider two slots for U.S babes too.“
Rasheed is also under pressure for inclusion by Ekiti women but was quick to respond that the Ooni only weds ladies he has dated for a long time.
