A Nigerian woman is excited watching her son play for Canada n the ongoing World Cup tournament.

Canada kicked off its World Cup campaign on Wednesday evening with many players featuring for the very first time.

One of these debutants was Sam Adekugbe, born in London, United Kingdom to Nigerian parents and his family moved to Canada when he was just Nine.

He became a citizen of Canada and is representing the National team at Football’s biggest stage.

Sam’s mother, Dee Adekugbe, was over the moon as she watched her son on TV and she kept screaming.. “My Son is in the world cup.”

Dee seemed to have lost her voice as a result of her joy but that did not deter her from jubilating.

Sharing the video, she wrote; “My son @SamAdekugbe gave is in the world cup….oh my God. Hallelujah
