"Gist"

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday, suffered another gaffe while addressing supporters at his campaign rally in Ilorin, Kwara State.

During his speech, Tinubu told the people to remain committed to the APC administration both at the state and national levels.

Saadu Salahu, Special Adviser on Strategy to Kwara State governor, who signed an earlier statement of postponement of the rally on behalf of the local organising committee said that the Presidential Campaign Council had approved that the rally should hold as many APC supporters already arrived the state.

Salahu noted that just like the APC has done in the entire tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, the party has shown that it means well for the country and its citizens and promises to continue the legacy.

In his address however, the former Lagos State governor spoke gibberish like he has come to be known with the ongoing campaign.

While commending all supporters of the APC for their total loyalty and commitment to staying back in Ilorin, Tinubu said: “I brought electricity company all the way from America, paid for the studies and all the necessary little fundamental things, before you, you, put on sewing machine before you start sewing the cloth.”

The blunders that the APC presidential flag bearer commits have been perceived as his trademark and seen to overshadow his manifestoes and speeches.

The development has caused critics and members of the other political parties to question his mental health, more so with his age disparities.

There have been debates about Bola Tinubu’s age and status as a number of internet sights have reported different age numbers.
