One of the founding fathers of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Tanko Yakasi has reacted to the conduct of the 2023 presidential election as he called for calm from all aggrieved Nigerians who may not be pleased with the outcome of the election.

The elder statesman said that allowing ethnicity and religion to influence electoral choices is a dangerous pathway and called on the winner of the election (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) to run an all-inclusive government that will carry every Nigerian along.

Yakasi said that the outcome of the election is more dangerous to the Igbos because they are now Isolating themselves.

He added that the Igbos are not to the Northerners, Southerners, or even to the Southern minorities, they are just to themselves. He said it is very dangerous since they spread all over the country.

Tanko Yakasi is calling on Bola Ahmed Tinubu to unite the country and carry everyone along, particularly the Igbos who according to him are now isolating themselves.

We all know that Ohanaeze Ndigbo has been clamoring for ‘Igbo Presidency‘ and they thought Peter Obi will make them actualize that, but unfortunately, he didn’t win the election.
