Rhodes-Vivour Launches New Initiative, APC Reacts

‘I Understand Yoruba But Don’t Speak Fluently’ – Rhodes-Vivour (video)

"Gist"

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos state, revealed that he does not speak Yoruba fluently.

Responding to those criticising him for not being able to speak vernacular fluently, he reminded them that he is half Yoruba.

This is one of the many criticisms allegedly meant to dissuade supporters from voting for him.

Gbadebo addressed the lingering criticism during an interview with Arise TV on Sunday, March 12.

He said he schooled abroad for a long time, hence his inability to speak the language fluently. He added that though he understands Yoruba, he has hired a Yoruba language teacher to help him get better.
