A man has been left totally heartbroken and stranded after saving up and getting donations from friends to go visit his girlfriend overseas.
The lady studies at a university abroad and he wanted to surprise her by traveling to the country without letting her know.
According to a friend who shared the story via his Twitter handle @Zak_Thestepper, he saved money and with the help of friends, he was able to get his travel documents.
On arrival at the foreign country, his supposed lover informed him that she was already in a relationship with another guy.
He was left with no choice but to book a return ticket which he could only use after next five days, days that were tortuous as he could hardly bear the thought of his girl in another man’s arms.
The tweep @Zak_Thestepper said his heartbroken friend returned home last week and his friends have been consoling him.
He wrote; “My guys GF was studying abroad. Oga saved for months just to be able to buy a plane-ticket to go see her with help also from we his guys as well. He arrived and she almost immediately told him that she has someone else.
“Ticket of course was non-refundable (cheapest) so he had to spend 5 days completely heartbroken in a city he didn’t know filled with people whose language he didn’t speak and without the means to go home. F***ing worst week of his entire life!
“He came back to 9ja last week & haven’t been same tbh. Stays indoors all the time. We don console am tire but omoo things ain’t getting better & us en guys sef don tire sef. Y’all guys in a relationship, please be safe.
