3 female officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were on Saturday, caught rigging at Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State on Saturday during the 2023 governorship and house of assembly elections.
A trending video clip shared online shows the moment the suspected election riggers were caught with already thumb-printed batches of ballot papers.
It is still not clear if the INEC officials were working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) as claimed in the video.
The ballot papers which were hidden in a black nylon bag have the majority of the ballots pre-printed for APC.
The three women, one of whom received a few slaps on the face by angry voters were speechless while expressing shock that they were caught in the act.
Other election materials were still with the ladies and one of them was still wearing the INEC ad-hoc jacket at the time they were caught.
