Police Command Speaks About The Death of 16-Year-Old Son of Yul Edochie

The Lagos State Police Command has said that investigations are currently ongoing to determine the cause of death of Kambilinachukwu, the oldest son of actor Yul Edochie.

Speaking with BBC Pidgin, Spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said that the 16-year-old died on Thursday morning, March 30.

Hundeyin said that Kambilichukwu fell unconscious and was rushed to the clinic for medical attention but all efforts by the Doctors to resuscitate him proved abortive.

Reports say that the teenage boy developed a seizure while playing football with his colleagues in school and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital. Unfortunately, he didn’t survive.

The police spokesman added that Yul reported the incident at a police station close to his residence and has written a statement about his son’s death.

The police spokesman said, “He just reported the case and we have begun investigation. By tomorrow (Friday) it will be transferred to state CID. We will investigate what killed the boy. They have to do an autopsy and know what happened to him,” he said.

We can’t tell you what happened to him now until an autopsy is conducted, but the incident happened in the school.”
