Famous Nigerian entertainer, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa who’s best known as Charly Boy and Area Fada has expressed his heart felt gratitude to God for surviving prostate cancer.
In a recent video he shared on his verified social media handles, the 72 year old veteran singer described his battle with the dreadful disease as his hardest fought battle. He further described his survival of the disease as escaping from the jaws of death especial as only a few people survive the disease.
Charly Boy added that the surgery was performed by a Professor Kingsley Ekwueme here in Nigeria saying the skilled surgeon did a fantastic job here in Nigeria and he had no need to travel overseas.
“In my life I’ve fought so many battles and I’ve won so many battles. But for the past 10 days I’ve been battling with something very huge. As God will have it, he saved my life. I’ve been fighting my prostate issues. It’s not a small thing… You’ll see videos when you see me you’ll know that it’s from the jaws of death I escaped from. The sickness that have killed many people, it didn’t kill me Charlie Boy.”
Speaking further, he said;
“And I want to thank God for sparing my life, I want to thank my cousins who gave me great support, I want to thank my friends and well wishers for standing by me. This is the biggest fight I’ve ever had in my life.”
