‘What Will Happen to Obi’s Votes If Tribunal Orders Rerun’ – Reno Omokri

A former presidential media aide to ex, president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has stated that Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, stands no chance at winning his court case at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, (PEPT).

The socio-political activist argued that Obi would get less votes than he did during the presidential election, should the tribunal order a rerun.

He condemned the statement by the Obi’s vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.

Baba-Ahmed in a recent interview on national television, asked the Chief Justice of Nigeria not to swear in the President-elect on May 29.

Speaking on the development, Omokri tweeted, “Seriously, Peter Obi is wasting his time at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. As things stand, even if the Tribunal orders a rerun, he will get less votes than he did on February 25, 2023. Not only has he destroyed himself, he has set back his region!

“I read @PeterObi’s statement denying alleged treason. I believe the #NigerianElections2023 was rigged. However, I agree that Datti Baba-Ahmed’s comments were near treasonable. If Obi does not condemn his running mate’s comments, then he is guilty by association!”
