The verification badge of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the micro blogging platform, Twitter was on Tuesday, 30th May, 2023 removed

This comes after the verification badge of the immediate past Vice-President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, was removed on Monday.

Twitter does not always give reasons for the action. It is therefore difficult to tell why at this time.

A check on the account of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari shows his account remains verified.

The president and vice president have however, made changes to their social media profiles.
