One of the schoolgirls from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, that were abducted in 2014 by Boko Haram terrorists, Joy Bishara, has found love in the United States (US).

276 female students between the age f 16 and 18 were kidnapped by terrorists in April 2014.

Bishara, however, was among the about 57 lucky girls said to have escaped the terrorists’ plot by reportedly jumping from the trucks on which their abductores were transporting them with.

The Nigerian Armed Forces subsequently rescued some others, but over 100 are still missing.

However, Bishara and her cousin, Lydia Pogu, who were among those who escaped the attack that caught global attention, relocated to the US.

They both graduated from Southeastern Universityrecently, where Bishara obtained a degree in social work in 2021.

Reports, however, emerging show that Bishara recently got engaged in the US.
