Popular Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu, has publicly rejected a general civic code during the recitation of the newly adopted national anthem.
The fiery activist remained seated while others at an event stood up for the recitation of the anthem.
Yesufu had shared the video of her protest with the caption #NotMyNationalAnthem on her X account on Friday.
This move comes after President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law, reinstating the old anthem “Nigeria, We Hail Thee”
Her disposition indicated that she is displeased with the recent reintroduction of the old National anthem.
