The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission this afternoon, tweeted that all 333 Kankara school boys have been rescued.
Dariri-Erewa in her excitement screamed, “Yaaaay. The 333 boys captured in Katsina have been rescued. “Alhamdulilah ! @MBuhari has brought back our boys “#BringBackOurBoys. Our boys are back.”
Jubilation and questions immediately trailed her tweet but she recants soon after when she could not offer proof.
The post was also deleted causing more fury in the public space.
In response, the Boko Haram sect tweeted a 1-minute video of the teenage school boys still in captivity in the forests with a representative begging the government to come to their rescue.
The boy, with blood stains on his shirt weeps intermittently and pleads with the government to help them.
The young boy pleaded with the government to withdraw vigilantes and security operatives as their presence agitates their captors.
Abike Dabiri claims her twitter account has been hacked as she cannot even control the account any more.
Very sadly, HumAngle_@HumAngle_ reports that “one of the boys who spoke in both English and Hausa said they were 520 in number but some of them were killed because the government sent troops to rescue them.
“Please, you have to dissolve any gang of vigilantes, close any kind of schools, excluding Islamiyyah [Qur’anic schools]. All the troops who have come here to help us, please send them back,” one of the abducted schoolboys pleaded in the released video.”
Abike Dabiri has since turned off responses to her tweets as the backlash came in thousands within minutes.
Some minutes later, she tweeted that she retrieved her accounts on Instagram and twitter and has also changed her passwords:

Gimba Kakanda@gimbakakanda· “Someone shared this screenshot that the Kankara boys have been released under my tweet, but I couldn’t find it when I checked @abikedabiri’s handle. Surprised because the Boko Haram released a video today to prove the boys are still in their possession. What exactly is going on?”
