Abiodun Oyebanji has was today, October 16, sworn in as the new democratically elected Governor of Ekiti State.
The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye administered the oath of office on him and his Deputy, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye.
Oyebanji took over from Governor Kayode Fayemi, who doubled as the chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum.
During the oath-taking ceremony, he pledged to preserve, protect, defend and preserve the office as governor in the presence of mammoth Ekiti people.
