Abiola Ajimobi Not Dead

Coronavirus Pandemic

News filtered in earlier this evening that the former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi is dead.

Credible sources, including media personality Suleiman Aledeh tweeted that “former Governor Abiola Ajimobi has died.”

Another journalist Fisayo Soyombo on his part, said “a source who has never failed me in six years of knowing him has just confirmed to me the death, in Lagos today, of Abiola Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State, due to underlying health conditions worsened the coronavirus. May his soul rest.”

On his part, a media aid to the former governor, not senator, Bolaji Tunji insists the former governor is alive even if he is very ill from covid19.

Controversial blogger, Kemi Olunloyo also corroborates Tunji’s claims that his principal is alive. According to her, “I was inundated by messages that fmr Governor @AAAjimobi has DIED in Lagos !

I could not get that info from Oyo Lawmakers, elites, media. I have finally confirmed and spoke to the family.”

Vanguard reports that Ajimobi is not dead considering that his death will not be hidden, being a muslim. If he were dead, he would certainly be buried within 24 hours.

However, Sahara Reporters says he is alive but “slips into coma due to coronavirus complications.”
