Abuja Estate Debunks News of Kidnap or Robbery (video)

A resident of an Abuja estate earlier reported to have been attacked has debunked the news of kidnap or Robbery within their premises.

News monitored on social media and Daily Post on Monday morning said that the estate was attacked between 1:00am and 4:00am at night.

It added that an unspecified number of people were kidnapped in the operation.

Several residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and a former senator who resides in Abuja, Shehu Sani had also confirmed the attack and sent his condolences to the victims.

He regretted that no fortress is secure in the present day Nigeria.

Spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command debunked news of a kidnapping operation but said it was only a robbery attack.

The resident who did not mention his new also said he was a co-developer of the estate who has lived there from inception

He noted that nobody was robbed or kidnapped and that the media house that first carried the news has been ordered to publish a rejoinder in some national dailies and media houses failing which legal proceedings will be instituted.
