Achraf Hakimi Divorce: ‘You Can’t Detach Teenage Boy From His Mum, Wife for Wait Small’ – Mary Njoku

Popular Nigerian actress, Mary Njoku has reacted to the divorce saga of Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi and his wife, Hiba Abouk.

Njoku stated it is almost impossible for any mother, particularly an African mother, to completely let go of her teenage son, regardless of whether he is married or not.

The actress suggested that many of the contracts signed by Hakimi were likely signed when he was underage, and therefore, putting his assets in his mother’s name was not intentional.

Instead of attempting to recover her husband’s assets, Njoku believes that Hiba Abouk should have focused on further building her career and making more money for herself.

Njoku also expressed the opinion that it is unreasonable to expect a teenager, particularly an African teenager, to be independent of their parents.

She asked: “How Do You Marry A Teenager And Expect Him To Be Independent Of His Parents? An African Teenager. There’s No Sane African Mum Who Will Let Go Completely Of Her Teenage Child.
