Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie has cried out as one of the teachers in her daughter’s new school is alleged to constantly bully the 8-year-old.
The mother of 4 took to her instagram account to demand since when it became a crime to be Mercy Johnson Okojie’s daughter.
She revealed that she is one mother who takes her parenting role seriously, trains her children in basic human behaviour, tolerance and respect but will not tolerate anyone hating on any of her children just because she is their mother.
The actress explained that she insists on her children upholding qualities such as politeness and kindness but also teaches them not to be intimidated by anyone.
She added that she has also brought them up to speak up when when they are treated unjustly.
Mercy Johnson further revealed the moral yardstick with which she raises her kids and then called out the yet-to-be-identified teacher.
She said that the teacher who is not even her daughter’s class teacher often goes to the child, Purity’s class to flick her hair with a pen while telling her she does not like her mother.
The teacher also tells the little girl that she knows that celebrity children are not well behaved.
Mercy said that Purity began reporting the teacher to her but she felt she was exaggerating. However, the abuse continued and got so bad that she began hating to go to school.
The popular actress then revealed that she realised how grievous the abuse was when she went to pick her daughter in school and met her crying.
Purity had been shoved by a student and she retaliated but the same teacher chose to punish her alone.
Mercy went on to report the issue to the school authorities and they said they would address the matter but she is still waiting for the outcome.
mercyjohnsonokojie seeks to know, “What do you do when the teacher is actually the bully and your child the constant victim? Enough is enough, I have reported to the school authorities and I will see this to the end.“
