The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E A Adeboye has lamented the state of Nigeria’s economy.

In an unusual fiery sermon, the respected cleric regretted that Kaduna is now completely isolated as no one can travel there by road, air or rail because of terrorists’attacks. He demanded why Kaduna is singled out for isolation.

He then demanded that “after Kaduna, where next ?”

Adeboye regretted that “more than 80% of the oil we’re producing is being stolen and nobody has denied it. It came from the government,”

He then asked, who is stealing the oil and where the money is going to.

He stated that 80% of the earnings of an entire oil-rich nation is going into the hands of a few and wondered what they want to do with all the money.

Pastor Adeboye demanded to know the foreign nations buying the stolen oil and how many of them sincerely love Nigeria.

In his passionate concern for the future of the country, Adeboye regretted that the government is using more than 90% of the income from the leftover of stolen oil is used to service the debt the country keeps borrowing.

He regretted that innocent future generations will bear the burden of repaying loans they did not incur.

Daddy G O, as pentecostal Christians fondly address him reminded the church that Nigeria’s entire debts had been forgiven during Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s regime but curiously, the country sank back into a bigger quagmire.

He noted that the country is gradually going into bankruptcy.

The unusual fiery sermon was preached at the April 2022 monthly thanksgiving service of Throne of Grace Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
