Adeleke Sheds Tears During an Interview on National TV (video)

The Osun State governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Monday broke down in tears during an interview on Channels TV. The interview comes after his victory at the polls.

While recounting the impact his late brother, Isiaka Adeleke had on him and how it propelled him to victory, Ademola Adeleke got deeply emotional.

He had to be consoled by the anchor, Seun Okinbaloye before he summoned the courage to continue with the interview.

The Governor-elect stated that the victory at Saturday’s polls is dedicated to his late older brother, Isiaka Adeleke whom he said died in the cause of the struggle to liberate the people of Osun State.

He noted that the late lawmaker’s spirit lives on in his younger brother.

After results collation, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke winner of the Osun State Governorship election.

He defeated the incumbent governor of the state and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola and 13 others in the July 16th election.

The PDP governorship candidate was declared the winner at the head office of INEC in Osogbo, the state capital which was used as the collation center.

INEC returning officer for the State Governorship election, Prof Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe gave the declaration in the early hours of Sunday.
