Popular Lagos socialist, Pretty Mike, today, disclosed that billionaire businessman and club owner, Obi Iyiegbu popularly called Obi Cubana told him that people will long to die after “Mama burial.”

He said this after Cubana’s friends stormed Oba, his village to commiserate with him with a lavish display of fellowship at his mother’s ongoing burial ceremony.

Obi Cubana lost his mother in December 2020, months after his father-in-law’s burial. Cubana’s mother was laid to rest on the 16th of July 2021.

The billionaire received eye-popping gifts including 246 cows from friends. He also gifted himself with a N46 million diamond chain and pendant from popular jeweller, Efobi Stephen.

The pendant had his mother’s face engraved on it.

The funeral is arguably the biggest event in Nigeria this year going by the breath-taking carnival graced by many socialites, business moguls, politicians, and top government functionaries.

Pretty Mike who missed his flight as all flight tickets and major road luxury vehicles were booked had to mount an ‘okada’ to catch a flight with business class ticket sold at nearly 3 times the price.

Socialite, Pretty Mike has revealed that Obi Cubana had been for a long time planning this exquisite burial ceremony for his mother.

He stated that Cubana said that many people will long to die after “Mama burial.”

Pretty Mike wrote, ” I remember when Obi’s wife’s father died some months back. We came for the burial. It was nothing short of a carnival. I asked him so why wait till July to bury your mum. He said let’s keep her on ice for now. She has to go out gloriously, she deserves it. I said bros stop being humble. He replied “after my mama burial ceremony, to die go dey hungry some people… Today I understand.”

Controversial journalist and now evangelist, Kemi Olunloyo has a prayer for the young Igbo boys who saw the sheer display of wealth.

According to kemiolunloyo “May these youth be successful one day and end up in Lagos/Abuja too.”
