Political activist, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to a video of Senate President, Godswill Akpabio referring to the lawmaker representing Adamawa North senatorial district, Ishaku Abbo as a noisemaker.
During screening, Senators had berated a ministerial nominee, Bosun Tijani who made a condescending tweet about them, Nigeria and several high profile individuals in the past.
The nominee, however, asked for forgiveness, explaining that he tweeted out of anger.
In a bid to defend Tijani and placate his colleagues, Abbo also rose to the nominee’s defence, saying that the he tweeted out of a mixture of frustration and love for Nigeria.
At the end of Abbo’s speech, Akpabio referred to him as a noisemaker who is constantly being tolerated by his colleague.
However, the senate president applauded his contribution to the matter.
Sharing the video on Twitter, Yesufu stated that Abbo had no idea he was being insulted.
She wrote, “Someone that is first among equal!
“Even the Abbo did not know he was insulted.
“Kai!
“If it was to hit a woman now he becomes a man.”
