A high chief who is also the Prime Minister of the Oyo kingdom and Head of Oyo Mesi, has revealed that the late Alaafin will be buried by 4:00pm today, Saturday.
High Chief Yusuf Ayoola disclosed this on Saturday while addressing newsmen at the palace.
Are said that, “We have called the Imam. Baba will be buried today around 4:00pm.”
According to Oyo prime minister, Oba Adeyemi died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti on Friday night.
Oyo Mesi added that the necessary rites of passage had been performed.
The longest-reigning Alaafin who died at age 83, served as Alaafin of Oyo for 52 years. He mounted the throne at the age of 31.
