El-Rufai’s daughter in-law Halima Nwakaego has revealed how lonely motherhood is for her and can be for anyone else.
The wife of Bashir El-Rufai and mother of two boys while speaking during a question and answer session on Instagram advised a follower who is a working mom to consider herself a single mother even though she is married.
Nwakaego stated that with this kind of mindset a woman would not get disappointed if their men do not fulfil some of their duties.
The follower had asked what kind of advice Nwakaego would give to a working mother whose husband refused to fulfill her duty.
Replying, the mother of 2 boys wrote, “Always think of yourself as a single mother, that way you expect nothing from anyone and never get disappointed.
“You do your part and that’s the most important thing. Stop looking at what others aren’t doing for your children. Ask for help instead of assuming people will offer.”
When asked what was the most surprising aspect of motherhood, she replied that it was lonely.
