Actress Annie Idibia has reacted to 2Face, her husband’s denial of impregnating a 3rd Babymama, female banker with his 8th baby.
Last week, the legendary singer tendered an unreserved apology to his wife, Annie for being a ‘shitty’ husband and baby daddy, reports made the rounds that he has impregnated a banker.
Many assumed that his alleged mysterious banker mistress was the person.
2face in a statement on Saturday denied impregnating another woman or expecting another baby with the faceless banker.
The statement was contained in a press release by his management firm, Now Music and posted by Efe Omoregbe.
Reacting to her husband’s press statement, Annie corroborated his claims saying that the banker has been getting pregnant since 2014.
The actress further berated those spreading the rumours, adding she struggles to cope with the malicious nature of humans.
She wrote: “As in na since 2014 this supposed “banker” dey carry d belle ooo lol. Just can’t with malicious humans!”
The post by Now urged well-meaning media platforms and members of the public to completely disregard the claim.
The statement titled “2BABA: PREGNANCY REPORT IS FAKE NEWS” posted by Efe Omoregbe on Instagram on behalf of the management, reads: “It is understandable for fans, friends and concerned members of the public to get curious and seek to know why @official2baba posted an apology to his wife, @annieidibia1, family and management a few days ago.”
“We would like to put it on record that the “why” is exactly what was explicitly spelt out in the same post – the pressure of almost a quarter of a century of superstardom and a wish to focus on making music without the burden of high expectations of a role model.”
“Reports of him getting anyone pregnant are false and malicious and we urge well-meaning media platforms and members of the public to completely disregard such. It is fake news.”
“Many would recall that this fictitious banker character has been repeatedly getting e-pregnant for @official2baba every two or three years since 2014. There is no iota of truth in this allegation.”
