Another African woman is making waves, this time, in the medical world as she breaks yet another glass ceiling.

Dr Njideka Udochi, has been named the 2021 Family Physician of Year by the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians (MDAFP).

Dr Udochi is younger sister to the newly appointed Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

In line with the many firsts recored by her family, just like her senior sister, she is also the first Black Woman in Maryland to receive this award.

Njideka was listed as one the U S top doctors in 2019.

Big sister, celebrated and amazing African Woman, Dr Okonjo-Iweala sent an early congratulatory message to a sister she mentored and watched grow to her innate potentials.
