An All Progressives Congress (APC) Lawmaker has been suspended from the party for insulting his state Governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
Muhammad Gudaji Kazaure representing Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa and Yankwashi Federal Constituency of Jigawa State is said to have insulted Governor Abubakar on Facebook.
Kazaure accused him of nominating candidates for chairmen and councillors for the upcoming local government elections without primaries or any consensus as guided by the party constitution.
The opinion of the lawmaker was translated from Hausa by Muhammad A Nayalo Fipma who said he also is feeling sad:
Nomination for Local Government Election, APC didn’t conduct primary election as Honourable Muhammad Gudaji Kazaure member House of Representatives, Kazaure Emirate Federal Constituency Stated below:
ATTENTIONS!!! Calling on mr president muhammadu buhari (GCFR) and the national leadership of All progressive congress (APC) to be alert by the underground movements of betrayal taking place in APC jigawa state By the jigawa state governor Muhammadu badaru Abubakar a businessman which he is planning to sacrifice the entire All progressive congress (APC) structures from the back ground’as now he started by putting candidates for local governments chairmanships and councillors state general elections without primaries elections or any consensus as guided by the party constitution, which automatically PDP will take all 27 local govts in court, likewise the Gwaram federal constituency bay election if we go as its PDP will definitely collect that seat in the courts no primary elections or consensus was purely conducted,so as we witnessed such cases happened in Zamfara and others we have to act before it’s late, therefore if the party didn’t consider my observations as serious and in time and before it was too late, definitely this man will make APC total loss in 2023 general elections.
A suspension letter dated 27th May issued to Hon Muhammad Gudaji Kazaure states that he will be suspended from APC for an initial of 6 months to allow for investigations into the matter.
The letter was signed by the chairman of the party in Kazaure Local Government Area, Hassan Lawan and addressed to the State APC Chairman.
The letter highlights that the lawmaker made injurious posts against the governor on his Facebook and Twitter handles contrary to article 21(ii) and (v) of the APC constitution.
