APC Primaries: Voting Starts By 6:00pm, Flag Bearer to Emerge by 10:00pm

The committee in charge of the All progressives congress (APC) primary election has announced that voting will start by 6:00pm while collation and decision on the flag bearer will be finalised and announced by 10:00pm.

Going by the timetable of the convention, the address of welcome will be delivered by the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu, by 3:40pm. 

The presidential aspirants will then be allowed to deliver their remarks between 4:45pm and 5:45pm.

Next on the agenda is President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech at 5:45pm. The delegates will start voting from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, while the result will be announced at 10pm.

Not less than 2,322 delegates from the 36 states and the FCT are expected to vote. The northern region has 1,254 delegates while the southern region has 1,068 delegates.

The north-west has 558 delegates, south-west 411; north-central 360; north-east 336, south-south 372, while the South-East has the least number of delegates with 285.
