APC Speaks on Zoning Presidential Ticket to North East

The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Barr. Felix Morka has reacted to speculations that the party has zoned the presidential ticket to the North East.

Thisday newspaper had reported that the APC was working towards zoning its presidential ticket to the northeast.

It also stated that the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan will likely emerge as its presidential candidate in the 2023 elections.

An excerpt: “Many in the South who have been strident in calls for the presidential ticket to be zoned to the South after eight years of Buhari in the saddle are not likely to be amused by this evolving development,” the report published on Wednesday, May 18, stated.

However, the publicity secretary dismissed the speculation and explained on Wednesday, that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC has not taken such a step.

Morka said, that “There’s no such decision made by the National Working Committee.
