The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has opened up on the attack on his convoy yesterday in Auchi, Edo State.
The fiery preacher was returning from a trip on Friday evening when the gunmen opened fire on his convoy killing seven persons including three policemen.
Suleman’s lawyer, Samuel Amune, who confirmed the attack to the Punch, said that the cleric just returned from a programme abroad, adding that he escaped death by the whiskers.
Amune said, “He was returning from a journey and he had almost gotten on the shores of Auchi when some assassins attacked him. Three of his police orderlies, among others died. He travelled before and just finished a programme in Tanzania day before yesterday.
On his part, addressing the public in a video which emerged online, the clergyman said certain things have been happening to him since the year 2017 but he chose to remain silent about it all.
He noted that despite the series of scandals peddled against him, he is still moving on, the major reason why some people decided to make an attempt on his life.
Narrating the incident, Suleman said the unknown gunmen sprayed bullets on his wife and kids and he knows the people.
He stated however, that he will not mention their names because they would probably deny it.
Apostle Suleman added that he cannot be killed and those attacking him are building on what they do not understand.
