The 2 youth members of the Lagos State Panel of Judicial Inquiry into police brutality and the shooting at Lekki Toll Gate have rejoined the panel.
The panel therefore resumed sitting today to investigate cases of police brutality and the role of the army in the shooting of peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate.
The panel had suspended sittings for the past one week following the boycott of the 2 youth members.
Chairman of the panel, Justice Doris Okuwobi had advised last week Saturday, that without Oluwaniru Oduala and Temitope Majekodunmi, the panel would could not form a quorum.
The 2 youth members had boycotted the sittings in protest against the freezing of the accounts of 20 #EndSARS promoters by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The Federal government, through the Central Bank of Nigeria had accused the promoters of the youth protests as leading terrorism and financing a terror movement through the listed accounts.
Oduala’s Bank account was one of those frozen.
With the resumption of sitting today, the Nigerian Army has taken the witness stand to state their role in the shooting of the protesters at the epicentre of the #EndSARS Protest in Lekki.
