The founder and Senior Pastor of the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo today, 23rd of January, announced the appointment of his first son, Tobi Ashimolowo as the Resident Pastor 2 of KICC, London.
The development was disclosed in a post on the Facebook page of a Christian platform, Church Gist.
During the announcement at today’s Sunday service, Ashimolowo stated that Tobi will be assisting his mother, Yemisi Ashimolowo who has been the Resident Pastor 1 of the church for a a long time.
A video of the appointment showed the KICC founder praying that his son be anointed by the favour of God.
He also prayed that God uses him to draw his own generation to God and to shake the systems.
Tobi is one of Ashimolowo’s 2 sons. He is also the founder of the Vault, a high-end store for men’s wear and accessories.

Ademola Folaranmi This gives credence to the popular saying that Nigerian Churches are business enterprises and they are established not to win souls for Christ but to enrich themselves at the expense of their congregation and members.Matthew Ashimolowo should be ashamed of himself that he cannot raise competent disciples not even one that can step into his shoes, that can carry on the mandate. This is a shame and sham. Does that means that no one, not even any one among his followers is spiritual and biblically knowledgeable enough to be a leader? This has shown to the world the level of his failure in the work of ministry.

Church is of Christ….and should only be headed by whoever Christ chose….Papa mathew has been hearing CHRIST before some of us were even born…..I m sure HE knew what Christ want him to do…if anyone is angry with this decision…go and meet Jesus and query HIM..may be HE will tell you why…or even tell you if he makes mistakes….Christ is the head of the church not papa Mathew….Me I love papa Mathew come rain,come sun….
