The former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Lagos State, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as better known as MC Oluomo, on Saturday announced that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu will be the next president of Nigeria with or without a certificate.
MC Oluomo who was recently appointed as the Lagos Parks and Garages Committee Chairman said this while reacting to the controversy surrounding the certificate and affidavit of the former Governor of Lagos State ahead of the 2023 general election.
Tinubu told the Independent National Electoral Commission that his certificates were stolen in 1999 by unknown persons while he was on self exile.
He stated this in an affidavit submitted to the electoral body as part of his eligibility filings for the 2023 presidential elections
The APC presidential candidate in the documents released on Friday left the columns for his primary and secondary education unmarked
The national leader of the ruling party, however, stated that he obtained a degree in business and administration in 1979 at the Chicago State University.
The development has seen a group call on the Inspector General of Police to arrest Tinubu.
MC Oluomo in his reaction to the developing issue in a post on his Twitter account wrote, “Certificate or No Certificate, Asiwaju is the next President of Nigeria. Who certificate help.”
