More revelations emerge concerning the the identity of the prime suspect of Usifo Ataga, Chidinma Ojukwu as her mother revealed that she has not seen her for 10 years.

The latest development comes after family sources revealed that the 21-year-old disowned her family after a misunderstanding she had with her mother.

TVC News had disclosed that the young lady was not born as Chidinma Ojukwu but adopted the last name when Ojukwu adopted her.

She was born as Chidinma Blessing Egbuchu to Michael Egbuchu and Kate Egbuchu.

Guardian reports that, “She is the second child of the late Mr. Michael Egbuchu and Mrs. Kate Egbuchu. Her parents were reportedly separated in the late 90s. Her father died in 2019 and her mother remarried, now bearing Kate Idibia.

However, one of her siblings identified as Chioma is quoted by NaijaNews as saying they lost their father when Chidinma was barely two years old.

In spite of the fact that her mother remarried, her children are still with her.

Latest developments also reveal that Chidinma’s earlier statement that she changed her lifestyle because of a broken home may not be totally true.

Chidinma earlier told Punch in an interview that she started smoking 2 years ago after some fellow students of UNILAG introduced her to to the habit.

However, further revelations say she started smoking when she was barely 11 years old resulting in her mother scolding her.

The altercation saw young Chidinma taken to her uncle, Chijioke Obi’s place in Mushin, Lagos from where she is said to have been thrown out because of her smoking habit.

She stayed away from her family thereafter following which Ojukwu took her into his home in Yaba from where she was arrested last week Wednesday.

Chidinma’s mother, Kate who lives in More, a border community between Ogun and Lagos States is quoted as saying that, “I haven’t set my eyes on Chidinma for 10 years.

The claim is also reportedly corroborated by the suspect’s sister who said that Ojukwu is not related to their family. She added that they are not from Abia State as earlier claimed by Chidinma during a press interview.
