Atedo Peterside, the founder of Anap Foundation and Anap Jets, has given his opinion on a message shared by Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State.
El-Rufai earlier posted a statement by Chuks Emeka, who addressed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directly with strong criticism.

Excerpt of Emeka’s message:
“As someone from the Igbo ethnic group, it is deeply upsetting and demoralizing to witness the police summon Emir Sanusi II merely for engaging in a peaceful and respectful Eid visit. This issue extends beyond the North; it’s a shameful episode for the entire nation.”
After the message gained attention online, Atedo Peterside responded through his official handle on X (formerly Twitter). He thanked El-Rufai for amplifying the message but expressed a personal opinion about Emeka’s choice of words. Peterside suggested the message would have been more impactful if Emeka had spoken as a “Concerned Nigerian” rather than emphasizing his ethnic identity.
Peterside’s take:
“Assuming Chuks Emeka is a real individual, I’d like to note that he would have been better off making his point simply as a ‘Concerned Nigerian.’ The fact that he is Igbo should not be the focus. His message is insightful and echoes my own belief that political actors should not manipulate the police or other national agencies to discredit or undermine our traditional institutions.”
