Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu turns 55 today.
The dashing man with the features of a typical lady’s dream, tall, dark, handsome and eloquent has proven to be the best choice of governor that the state could ever have made.
His leadership came with a few doubts in the first few weeks but it is now obvious he was mapping out the most amazing strategies aimed at tackling the complex issues of Africa’s most cosmopolitan city.
The projects he has undertaken and completed are indeed proof of the leadership and managerial skills he acquired from various positions in the corporate and civil service worlds.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s handling of the COVID19 as incident commander has saved Nigeria from a major catastrophe. He is personally on ground driving strategies and advocacies that ensure everyone is informed enough to take responsibility and actions against the spread.
While giving God the glory for his achievements, he gives a glimpse of his journey through life in his birthday post this morning:
“55 years of life’s lessons
“June 25th- A constant reminder of my life’s journey, and God’s unending love for me.
I am a product of God’s unwavering grace, and a tool in his workshop, to be used in the service of mankind.
And by His special grace, I will fulfill destiny, and His plans for me shall continue to manifest. Amen
“I have so much to be thankful for.
“I am thankful for 55 years of purposeful living.
“I am thankful for my family and loved ones, especially my dear wife Ibijoke and our wonderful kids, whom God has blessed us with.
“I am thankful for friends and
acquaintances
“And I am most thankful for the people of Lagos for their unwavering support, encouragement and prayers.
“My wish will always be:
To lead and be led
To serve without limit
To give without expectations
To love beyond limits
To be a beacon of hope
To be a reflection of God’s shining light
To work conscientiously and selflessly
To be giving of myself at all times, and
To work like no one’s watching.
Amen.
