A Catholic Priest, Reverend Father, Isaac Achi of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church has been burnt to d3ath by bandits who stormed Kafin Koro Community in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State in the early hours of Sunday.
The bandits are said to have invaded the community at about 1:00am and began shooting sporadically while heading to the uphill residence of the Rev. Father.
A resident of the community who identified himself as Paul narrated how the bandits divided themselves into two groups.
While some went to the Reverend Father’s official residence, the others stayed in the town shooting to resist any form of interference.
Paul stated that when the bandits could not assess the late Achi’s residence after a long while, they set the building ablaze and waited until it was completely razed with him inside.
The Divisional Police Officer was said to have been reached but could not get to the Catholic Priest until he d!ed.
