The bandits who abducted 17 victims at Kawu village in Bwari Area Council of the FCT have threatened to k!ll the remaining 11 persons over delay in paying ransom and delivering brand new Bajaj motorcycles by their families.
The gun wielding men invaded Kawu on January 11, 2024, and whisked away 18 persons, including a couple, children of the District Head of Kawu and a female nurse.
By Monday, January 22, 2024, they freed 4 of the victims after N5m was paid and held back 11 of them in their captivity.
Speaking with newsmen on Sunday, January 28, a family member of four of the victims, Bala Danjuma, said the bandits’ leader called on Saturday morning and threatened to kill the remaining 11 victims over delay in paying their ransom.
