A group of unidentified gunmen have allegedly kidnapped not less than 5 members of staff including the principal of August Community Grammar School in Ondo State.
Reports say that 3 your Npower teachers were among those whisked away in the Thursday ambush by the bandits.
The 3 identified N-power employees are: Oloyede Bukola, Adagunodo Funmilayo and Blessing Okeke.
They are alleged to have been kidnapped while travelling in the afternoon in a Toyota Corolla belonging to the Principal along Auga-Ise Road, Akoko East Local Government Area.
Abducted in the operation are the school principal, Joshua Adeyemi and his vice, Ifedayo Yesufu.
TVC News reports that an eyewitness revealed that the incident occurred on Thursday while the school staff were travelling in the blue Corolla.
One of the victims, Okeke said she was released after the assailants discovered she was pregnant in the thick forest they were taken to.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ikare Division, Oladutoye Akinwa said that detectives have been deployed to comb the forest with a few to rescuing the captives.
He added that the vehicle the victims were travelling in before they were abducted has been recovered from the spot where it was abandoned by the bandits.
