Bandits who kidnapped students of the Government Day Secondary School, Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State have released 75 of them.
The students were kidnapped during a raid on their school on the 1st of September, 2021.
The release of the students was confirmed by NTA in a post on their Facebook page on Sunday night.

Earlier in the month, the state police command reported that bandits abducted more than 70 students of the school in one single invasion.
The spokesperson of the command, Mohammed Shehu, in a statement, said that armed bandits stormed the school premises and abducted students.
According to him, “The abduction followed the invasion of the school by large numbers of armed bandits.
He stated further that the state command was working with the military to secure the release of the students.
The terrorists had earlier released 5 of the students with 24 hours of the abduction.
While speaking on the attack, former councillor of Kaya ward, Yahaya Kaya, noted that the bandits abducted his younger brother’s daughter.
The abduction compelled the state government to order the closure of boarding facilities in 30 schools.
There are however, no indications that the state government paid any ransom to secure the release of the students.
