Tragedy struck in another Plateau State community as bandits are said to have set an entire family ablaze and killed no fewer than 35 people .
This comes as the nation is still coming to terms with the murder in the State, of over 20 travellers a fortnight ago.
The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Ubah Ogaba who was immediately reached by newsmen in an attempt to confirm the gruesome killings said he is yet to receive details about the attack even if he confirmed that there was an incident.
While promising to give details later, Ogaba told newsmen that, “There was an incident at Yelwa but I have not received full details yet.“
Reports on the incident say that the bandits attacked Yelwa Sangam, a community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau, burnt some family members alive, shot and injured others.
The bandits also are said to have also damaged the bridge leading to the community thereby preventing any access to help while they had a field day killing and maiming residents.
